Save Your Story

I'm Robin Groothuis! In 2012 I began digitally archiving my family's vast collection of photographs, slides, home movies and videos, cassette tapes, and vinyl, as well as important documents, letters and newspaper clippings. At the time, several friends found out and asked if I could digitize their items as well. Additionally, I'm a musician, writer and storyteller so I understand the importance of having these visual and audio memories in preserving our histories. There are so many stories, in my own life and in my family, let alone from generations past, that are just waiting to be recalled. Even the way they were recorded! I'm fascinated with vintage media. I love this work, knowing that every person has a story to discover. My family have had hours of meaningful conversation about things long forgotten. I would love to help you hold on to those stories.
